You may remember us from our many years in the Chapel Hill Mall in Akron. My husband Fred and I decided to purchase The Gourmet Popper in March of 2006. Over time, people from all over began to discover (and re-discover) our fresh, all natural ingredient popcorn. Word spread and we continued to grow.
However, as the Chapel Hill Mall slowly started to decline, in February 2020, we decided it was time to relocate. We are so excited to open our retail store on Front Street in downtown Cuyahoga Falls! Please stop by to enjoy our delicious snacks and famous gourmet popcorn. We’d love to see you.
In Loving Memory of Fred!
I worked 28 years in Retail Management and together, Fred and I, were more than qualified to run a successful business. In 2006, I was offered a buyout from my company. So on March 1, 2006, we took over The Gourmet Popper. Unfortunately the last few years the mall started to decline. So in 2019, Annmarie and I had to make the difficult decision on whether to close the store or relocate. With a lot of prayers and counsel we decided that we would move forward as partners and share all the responsibilities equally.
Rose – Business Manager
In 2007, I joined The Gourmet Popper Family as manager for Fred & Rose. When Fred passed away in 2017, I stepped up and took on more responsibilities to help run the business. So with this new journey I am blessed and excited about our new location on Front St. I’m looking forward to our new adventures here in our new community. Stop by and say hello!
